Lions Youth Brass performing YMCA in Mold

After a late night, it was an early start at precisely 6am. Most of us had a quick shower and were treated to a cooked breakfast!

We then got changed and loaded the bus with enough food to last us the whole day, and made our way to Bangor Cathedral.

After playing the hymns, the church kindly provided us with drinks and cake. We then hopped back on the bus and set off for Rhyl and some free time. Some took a walk along the beach (it’s okay Jane, we weren’t on the sand) whilst others decided McDonalds was a better idea. We were then treated to ice-cream (whilst trying not to be attacked by seagulls) and set off for Mold.

We arrived at Mold after a short bus journey. There was a little wait before we got off and got going with the usual routine of offloading the percussion and instruments from the van. After a bit of confusion involving taking the instruments off the van, putting them back on, taking them off again and finally putting them back on, we had a snack and played a few games!

We got changed and went into the usual welcoming audience for the concert. They were all very cheerful and enjoyed it a lot.

After a successful concert, we got on the bus and headed back to base for some well deserved rest.
